"Paroles de Cuisines" is a non-profit organization based in Sillans-la-Cascade, in the Var deparment between the Verdon canyon and Draguignan. This is an exceptionnally beautiful area and we are happy to go wherever asked for an event or a workshop.
Our club is entirely dedicated to exchanging culinary talents and acquiring French as a plus to enhance the pleasure of being in Provence :
It will take shape with "hands-on" workshops on a variety of subjects and themes for a few hours or a few days.
The general idea is to take cooking as a universal language where "Cuisine" and "French" are not inseparable partners.
I mean, for example, that a friend of ours is a sushi master. He has a professional kitchen in Salernes where he is willing to teach us how to make sushi.
Someone else has delightful ways with South mediterranean foods.
Yet another delightful gentleman will tell you lots about French cheese, how it is made, how to choose it and which wine to enjoy with it.
Then there is the one who knows how to make those typically Provencal dips like Tapenade and Caviar d'aubergine but also Socca, stuffed vineleaves, Soupe au Pistou, etc....
All of this can be combined with learning French (Cook'nTalk).
But you can also choose to just learn to read and speak French (Walk'nTalk).
All of this is meant for the joy of meeting new people, making friends and getting acquainted with other ways and cultures.
And it is only a beginning.
